CELEBRATION OF INDEPENDENCE AND YOUTH DAY, JULY 05, 1962 - 2024

Invited to commemorate, together, the 62nd anniversary of National Independence Day, the members of the Algerian community established in Bosnia and Herzegovina, spent this July 5, 2024, in the Algerian Embassy in Sarajevo, a pleasant moment of evocation, conviviality and solidarity.

This event was marked firstly by the raising of the national colours, the performance of the national anthem, the reading of the Fatiha and the observation of a minute of silence in memory of the valiant Chouhada.

The Ambassador of Algeria, Mr. Toufik MILAT, delivered then a brief speech in which he recalled the symbolism and value of this date in the modern history of the struggle of the Algerian people for its emancipation from the colonial era, and the reconquest of its national sovereignty. 

This opportunity was also seized by Mr. MILAT to recall the undeniable economic and social achievements and progress made in recent years and recognized by credible international institutions (IMF. WB...).

The Ambassador also referred to the presidential elections of September 7, which he described as a stage of consolidation of the democratic process and the commitments made by our country in the way of consolidating the rule of law, the independence of the judiciary, the fight against corruption and the modernization of the public administration.
