UN Secretary-General António Guterres Sends Congratulatory Message to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on the Anniversary of the Liberation Revolution

The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. António Guterres, sent a message of congratulations to His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on the anniversary of the glorious Liberation Revolution.

In his message, Mr. Guterres stated that national holidays serve as important occasions to reflect upon a nation's journey, contribute to serving the international community, foster solidarity and brotherhood among peoples, and work collectively to address common global challenges. He added that today's world faces interconnected issues, ranging from climate change and deepening inequalities to rapid technological shifts. He emphasized that through joint cooperation, international peace and security can be enhanced, Sustainable Development Goals advanced, and human rights protected.

The UN Secretary-General concluded his message by extending his best wishes to the Algerian people and reaffirming his high esteem for the President of the Republic.
