On Margins of UNGA: Minister of State Ahmed Attaf Meets U.S. President's Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs Massad Boulos

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, met with Mr. Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor to the U.S. President for Arab and African Affairs, on the sidelines of his participation in the proceedings of the high-level segment of the Eighty-First Session of the UN General Assembly.

During the meeting, both parties reviewed the state of bilateral relations, which are witnessing a positive dynamic, and discussed ways to advance them toward broader horizons, particularly in the fields of energy, economy, and inter-state trade.

The two sides also touched upon a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern, notably the situations in Libya, Sudan, and the Gulf region, emphasizing the necessity of working toward finding solutions to the crises facing the region. Furthermore, discussions addressed developments regarding the Western Sahara file, with the two parties agreeing to sustain consultation and coordination in this regard.
