On Margins of UNGA: Minister of State Ahmed Attaf Meets Tunisian Counterpart Mohamed Ali Nafti

Continuing his activities on the sidelines of his participation in the High-Level Week proceedings of the Eighty-First Session of the UN General Assembly, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad of the Tunisian Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ali Nafti. The two parties discussed the state of privileged fraternal relations binding Algeria and Tunisia, as well as ways to enhance and elevate them to broader horizons, in accordance with the high directives of the leaders of the two sisterly countries.

In this context, both sides renewed their keenness to pursue the path of strengthening cooperation and solidarity relations between Algeria and Tunisia and to follow up on efforts aimed at materializing various bilateral cooperation programs and projects, reflecting the depth and robustness of the historical ties binding the two countries.

The two sides also exchanged views on key current issues at the regional and international levels, notably the evolution of the situation in Libya and the Arab region, emphasizing the importance of sustaining coordination and consultation regarding various files and issues of mutual concern.
