On Margins of UNGA: Minister of State Ahmed Attaf Holds Talks with Sierra Leonean Counterpart Mohamed Rahman Swaray

Within the framework of the series of meetings he is conducting with a number of his counterparts in New York, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, held talks with his counterpart from the Republic of Sierra Leone, Mr. Mohamed Rahman Swaray, with whom he discussed the state of bilateral relations, prospects for enhancing them to higher levels, and the importance of boosting consultation on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

In this context, the two parties touched upon the fruitful coordination between the two countries during their tenure as non-permanent members of the Security Council, particularly within the framework of the "A3" mechanism. The Minister of State also congratulated his Sierra Leonean counterpart on his country's valuable contribution, in its capacity as chair of the African Union Committee of Ten (C10) Heads of State and Government on UN Security Council Reform.
