On Margins of UNGA: Minister of State Ahmed Attaf Holds Talks with Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis

On the second day of his participation in the proceedings of the high-level segment of the Eighty-First Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, held talks with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. George Gerapetritis, discussing ways to enhance bilateral cooperation relations, particularly in prospect of the visit to be paid by Mr. Gerapetritis to Algeria, which will allow for exploring new opportunities for partnership and investment across various fields such as infrastructure, renewable energy, water resource management, and maritime transport.

The talks also touched upon the implementation process of the Association Agreement between Algeria and the European Union, notably in light of the hurdles faced by Algerian exports in accessing the European market, emphasizing the necessity of addressing them within the mechanisms of the Association Agreement to ensure balance and mutual interests for both sides.
