New York: Minister of State Ahmed Attaf Holds Talks with WFP Acting Executive Director Carl Skau

Continuing his activities within the framework of his working visit to New York, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, held talks today with the Acting Executive Director of the World Food Programme (WFP), Mr. Carl Skau. Discussions focused on ways to enhance cooperation between Algeria and the WFP aimed at addressing humanitarian needs and supporting the most vulnerable groups, particularly in light of compounding crises and their repercussions on food security, especially in Africa and the Middle East.

The two parties also discussed the grave challenges facing the Programme in Gaza, particularly with the approach of the winter season, alongside bolstering its efforts to ensure an effective response and continue providing necessary support for the humanitarian needs of Sahrawi refugees.
