Minister of State Ahmed Attaf Holds Phone Call with Egyptian Counterpart Badr Abdelatty

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, held a phone call today, Friday, September 11, with Mr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt.

The conversation focused on ways to enhance bilateral relations between Algeria and Egypt across various fields, with both ministers emphasizing the importance of boosting bilateral cooperation—particularly in economic and commercial sectors—and opening new horizons for partnership to serve the mutual interests of the two sisterly countries and peoples.

The call also provided an opportunity to exchange views and consult on a number of regional issues of mutual concern. Both sides stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation, notably within the framework of the trilateral neighboring countries mechanism on Libya, in support of efforts aimed at establishing security and stability in that sisterly nation and enabling the Libyan people to achieve their aspirations for peace, stability, and development.

On this occasion, the two ministers reaffirmed the importance of maintaining ongoing coordination and consultation between Algeria and Egypt regarding various Arab and African issues.
