Commemoration of National Moudjahid Day

The Embassy of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria in Sarajevo commemorated today, Thursday, August 20, 2026, National Moudjahid Day, marking the double anniversary of the North Constantine Offensives on August 20, 1955, and the convening of the Soummam Conference on August 20, 1956, under the theme "In the footsteps of their struggle, we walk."

On this occasion, the Algerian National Anthem was played, followed by the recitation of Al-Fatiha in memory of our righteous martyrs, and a minute of silence observed in tribute and honor of their sacrifices for the liberation of the homeland and the restoration of its sovereignty.
