On Margins of UNGA: Minister of State Ahmed Attaf Meets Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen

Continuing his activities on the sidelines of his participation in the High-Level Week proceedings of the Eighty-First Session of the UN General Assembly, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, met with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Tom Berendsen. Discussions covered the state of bilateral relations and prospects for enhancing and expanding them to encompass energy, security, and migration, alongside ongoing preparations for the anticipated visit of the Dutch minister to Algeria.

The two ministers also exchanged views on security and political developments in the Sahel region, emphasizing the importance of adopting a comprehensive approach that combines the requirements of development, security, and stability, while respecting the sovereignty of the region's countries.

Cooperation between Algeria and the European Union was likewise touched upon, during which Mr. Ahmed Attaf underscored the necessity of establishing a balanced economic partnership that serves the interests of both sides.
