On Margins of UNGA: Minister of State Ahmed Attaf Holds Talks with Hungarian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Anita Orbán

Continuing his activities on the sidelines of his participation in the High-Level Week proceedings of the Eighty-First Session of the UN General Assembly, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, held talks with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Hungary, Ms. Anita Orbán. The talks touched upon the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, alongside preparations for the anticipated visit of the Hungarian top diplomat to Algeria, which will help identify new opportunities for partnership and investment, particularly in education, academic expertise exchange, renewable energy, and culture.

Regarding relations between Algeria and the European Union and the implementation process of the Association Agreement, the Minister of State raised concerns regarding the hurdles impeding Algerian exports from accessing EU markets, emphasizing the necessity of addressing them within the mechanisms of the Association Agreement to guarantee a balance of interests between both sides.
