Minister of State Ahmed Attaf Presides Over National Emigration Day Commemoration Ceremony at Ministry Headquarters

Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, presided today over the commemoration ceremony for National Emigration Day, marking the 65th anniversary of the October 17, 1961 demonstrations (1961–2026), under the theme: "From the Depths of Memory to the Horizons of the Future", with the participation of representatives from the Ministry's Office of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, as well as senior ministry officials.

The proceedings commenced with the raising of the national flag and the performance of the National Anthem, followed by the laying of a wreath at the memorial stele and the recitation of the Opening Chapter of the Holy Qur'an (Al-Fatiha) in memory of our glorious Martyrs.

In accordance with the decision of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, a minute of silence was observed in tribute to the martyrs of the October 17, 1961 massacres in Paris.
