Sarajevo: Algerian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Mohammed Meraimi Keynote Speaker at 20th Tešanj International Fair

His Excellency Mohammed Meraimi, Ambassador of Algeria to Bosnia and Herzegovina, participated today, Wednesday, 23 September 2026, as a keynote speaker in the official panel discussion held as part of the 20th edition of the Tešanj International Energy and Trade Fair, alongside Mr. Nermin Nikšić, Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Mr. Vedran Lakić, Federal Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry; and Mr. John Ginkel, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the United States of America in Sarajevo.

On this occasion, H.E. the Ambassador presented the promising potential of Algeria’s energy sector, as well as the strategic and structural projects currently being developed and implemented by the Algerian authorities with the aim of valorizing the country’s vast energy and mineral resources and strengthening regional integration. He also highlighted Algeria’s efforts in the fields of energy transition, improvement of energy efficiency, decarbonization, and the development of the green economy.

On the margins of the event, H.E. Ambassador Mohammed Meraimi also held a number of bilateral meetings with Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić, Minister Vedran Lakić, Deputy Speaker of the Parliamentary Assembly Denis Zvizdić, as well as leading business figures and representatives of Bosnian companies participating in the Fair.

During these meetings, Bosnian officials and investors expressed renewed interest in establishing mutually beneficial partnerships with Algeria and benefiting from its experience and capacities in the fields of fossil fuels, renewable energy, and green hydrogen.
