Celebration of the National Day of the Mujahid, August 20, 1955 – 1956 / 2024

The Ambassador of Algeria to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Mr. Toufik MILAT, presided over a ceremony to commemorate the National Day of the Mujahid, August 20^th, 1955 – 1956 / 2024 which took place at the headquarters of the Embassy.

On this occasion, the members of the Embassy saluted the national flag and read the Fatiha as a tribute to the martyrs.

The Ambassador delivered a speech in which he recalled the importance of these two events and their impact on the continuation of the Algerian people's struggle for emancipation from the colonial yoke. “The offensive of the North Constantinois, on August 20^th, 1955, and the Soummam Congress, on August 20^th, 1956, were two major events for the consecration of independence.”
